Delta SkyMiles members can earn 1,000 bonus miles when you sign up for email newsletter deliveries through December 31, 2011.

This SkyMiles newsletter promotion was emailed to select SkyMiles members, and the fine print indicates that only members who received this communication directly from Delta Air Lines are eligible to participate in this offer, but you may be able to qualify by simply entering your Delta SkyMiles number, so it’s worth a try.

You’ll receive 1,000 bonus miles when you sign up to receive fare sales, partner offers, SkyMiles promotions, and bonus mileage-earning opportunities.

To participate in this offer, you must register online by December 31, 2011, and sign up to receive email communications from Delta.

To earn 1,000 bonus miles, visit delta.com/signup, input your SkyMiles number, and click “Continue.”

Then input your name and email address, and click “Submit.”

Once you submit your information, you must then click the “Confirm Now” button in the confirmation email you will receive to complete the sign-up process.

You will receive Fare Sales and Last Minute Deals, SkyMiles Promotions and Partner Offers, Travel and SkyMiles Info, and SkyMiles INSIDER Statement emails.

It will take 2 to 4 weeks for email changes to be reflected in your profile at delta.com.

Your bonus miles will appear automatically on your SkyMiles statement.

You must allow up to 8 weeks after the promotional validity period ends on December 31, 2011, for the credit to appear.

Members must still be opted-in to receive email communications at the end of the promotional period to be eligible to receive bonus miles.
