I used this bonus without any problems. Thanks to SunTrust, IMO with perfect online banking it have best bonus system, too.

I am going through the same thing right now. Dealing with the ‘customer service’ inside the branches is pointless, those people are simply uninterested about the customers.
I just walked out of one branch after waiting for 10 minutes and listening to ‘customer specialist’s’ personal conversation. He did not even bother to look at me and inform me that it will be another minute or two…

So right now I am talking to the 1800 customer service and they are filling out some kind of form that will take care of the 150$ deposit into my account.

Once that is deposited I am closing my account. The only other bank where I have seen such bad customer service was bank atlantic or something like that on east coast of FL….

Has anyone had trouble recieving the money from Suntrust? I have been given the run around for months now. Opened the account in April, still have not recieved my first $50. I have placed several inquiries with Bill Pay Dept. and been told everything is in order and I should recieve it by various dates that never manifested. Going back to my local branch today. Getting very frustrated and upset. It’s not so much the money, but the games. Can’t get the same answer from anyone!

Opened account and established online billpay. Unfortunately, after having already initiated several billpays that successfully went through, Sun Trust arbitrarily closed my account. What compounded the problem even more was that I had already initiated several automatic billpayments which the bank failed to cancel when I lost my online access. This caused me to incur a couple of “bounced check” fees. Still working with Sun Trust to attempt to recover fees–so far, their customer service is not very customer friendly.

Brian-Most folks that leave reviews are the ones that are upset for some reason. Perhaps valid, but too well represented online. Satisfied SunTrust customers more than likely are not leaving reviews. The only negative thing I can recognize banking with them for a while is that they may post signature transactions/credit a few days after the purchase was made. Pay attention to your available balance and one will be fine with SunTrust.

Rick–try typing “suntrust bank reviews” into google. then press “enter.” After you read the first 85 complaints, you get the picture :/

Looks like Robert up there didnt have any problems finding those vague negative reviews either….

Vague references to negative reviews don’t help much. What comments, reviews, posted where? I’ve recently opened a SunTrust account, and haven’t had any problems.

I wish people would be more specific.
