The fine print gets a little trickier beyond that, but depending on the ticket price, you can basically receive either an extra $50 discount per additional 5,000 miles or an extra $100 discount per additional 10,000 miles, in addition to the initial $100 you’ll receive with your first 10,000 miles.

If your ticket is $250 or more, you can get a total of $200 off your ticket price with your 20,000 bonus miles, which means you’ll immediately be able to take advantage of this airline rewards credit card.

Pay with Miles is an exclusive benefit for SkyMiles members with a Platinum Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express. There are no blackout dates or inventory restrictions, and you simply look for flights marked as Pay with Miles eligible when shopping at Delta.com.

Delta SkyMiles membership is absolutely free, and if you aren’t a Delta SkyMiles member already, you will be automatically enrolled when you apply for the credit card.
