Sprint and Nextel phones offer a $25 sign-up bonus if you are referred by a current Sprint or Nextel customer, plus they give a $25 referral bonus to the customer who refers you.
This is a great way for you and a friend to get an extra $25 each, if one of you has a Nextel or Sprint phone and the other wants to sign up for their service, and the reward actually comes as a $25 Sprint Referral Rewards Visa debit card, so you can spend it anywhere Visa is accepted.
It’s simple to do, and you don’t even have to receive an actual referral.
All that you need is the phone number of a current Sprint or Nextel telephone customer, and you can apply for the referral bonus within 15 days of activating your new Nextel or Sprint phone. That means it may not be to late if you already purchased a phone.
Here’s how to get a $25 Referral Rewards Visa card for you and a friend.
If you do not currently have a Nextel or Sprint phone, simply Sign Up through this Sprint and Nextel Referral Link.
Then, within 15 days of activation, use your new phone to dial #REF (#733), and make sure you have your friend’s Sprint or Nextel phone number ready.

Once you have a Sprint or Nextel account, you can earn up to 12 referral rewards per year, which is $300 for you and $300 for the friends on your walkie-talkie network.

How do I go about getting the $25.00 gift cards. I was in the store the other day and added a friend to my plan and they received a phone. To qualify to receive the $25 Sprint bonus, you must refer a new Sprint customer, and the new customer must call #REF (#733) within 15 days of activating their phone and enter your phone number in order for both of you to qualify for the $25 Sprint referral bonus.
However, your referral must activate a new line of service with a new service agreement, and the Sprint bonus offer does not apply to new phone lines that are added to your current plan, even if they received a new phone.

Sprint is also currently running a special offer where you can receive $100 for referring a new customer, although your referral will still only receive $25, and this offer is valid for referrals through March 31, 2009.
