Chase Freedom has announced the 5% cash back rebate categories for 2013, plus you can now register for your 2013 1st quarter Chase Freedom 5% cash rebates today.
If you have a Chase Freedom credit card, you must register for each new quarter in 2013 to receive the full 5% cash back rebates in select categories throughout the year.
Apply for the Chase Freedom Card if you are not already a member to earn a $100 bonus after qualifying purchases with no annual fee.
You must visit the Chase Freedom Rewards Website to activate your card for the 5% cash rebates each quarter.
You’ll also earn a 1% cash rebate on all of your other card purchases at all times.
2013 Chase Freedom 5% Cash Rebate Categories
January 1, 2013 – March 31, 2013 – Now CLOSED for Registration
- Gas Stations
- Drugstores
- Starbucks Stores
Starting December 15, 2012, you will be able to activate the 2013 1st quarter categories for Gas Stations, Drugstores, and Starbucks stores.
You’ll earn 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in spending at Gas Stations, Drugstores, and Starbucks stores from January 1st through March 31, 2013.
Registration for the 1st quarter categories will end on March 14, 2013.
April 1, 2013 – June 30, 2013 – Now OPEN for Registration

- Movie Theaters
- Lowe’s
Starting March 15, 2013, you will be able to activate the 2013 2nd quarter categories for Restaurants, Movie Theaters, and Lowe’s.
You’ll earn 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in spending at Restaurants, Movie Theaters, and Lowe’s from April 1st through June 30, 2013.
Registration for the 2nd quarter categories will end on June 14, 2013.
July 1, 2013 – September 30, 2013

Starting June 15, 2013, you will be able to activate the 2013 3rd quarter categories for Gas Stations, Theme Parks, and Kohl’s.
You’ll earn 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in spending at Gas Stations, Theme Parks, and Kohl’s stores from July 1st through September 30, 2013.
Registration for the 3rd quarter categories will end on September 14, 2013.
October 1, 2013 – December 31, 2013

Starting September 15, 2013, you will be able to activate the 2013 4th quarter categories for Select Department Stores and Amazon.com.
You’ll earn 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in spending at Select Department Stores and Amazon.com from October 1st through December 31, 2013.
Registration for the 4th quarter categories will end on December 14, 2013.
5% Bonus Details
You will earn 5% cash back on all of the qualifying category purchases that you make for the duration of each entire quarter (up to $1,500), regardless of when you activate your card during that quarter, just as long as you activate your card by the deadline for that quarter.
You will earn 4% bonus rebate rewards in addition to your 1% base earnings for a total of 5% in cash rebates within the promotional purchase categories.
The maximum 4% bonus reward accumulation during the promotional period is $60 in cash back rewards or 6,000 points, which is equal to $1,500 in net purchases.
At the total 5% special rate, you can earn $75 in cash rebates if you spend $1,500 within the select categories, plus you’ll still earn 1% cash back on all of your other purchases.
Take advantage of these Chase Freedom 2013 5% cash rebate categories and make sure you register each quarter to ensure that you receive the full 5% rebate in select spending categories.
