The Escape by Discover® Card offers 1,000 bonus miles for each month that you make a purchase for the first 25 months for a total of up to 25,000 bonus miles.

You’ll also earn 2 miles for each $1 you spend on the Escape by Discover® Card, and 2 additional miles for each $1 you spend through ShopDiscover, Discover’s exclusive online shopping network.

Miles can be redeemed for unrestricted travel credits to your credit card when you book travel through any airline, travel agent, or online travel website as well as cash rewards or gift cards.

You can get a $100 travel credit for every 10,000 miles, a $25 electronic deposit to your bank account or an account credit for every 5,000 miles, or a $100 gift card from many brand-name merchants and service providers for every 12,000 miles.

That means you can earn $200 in travel credits as well as a $25 cash bonus, $200 in gift cards, or $125 in cash rewards when you redeem your 25,000 bonus miles after your qualifying purchases.

You’ll get 1,000 bonus miles for each month that you make at least 1 purchase of any size for the first 25 months of your card account with a total of up to 25,000 bonus miles, and even if you miss making a purchase in any single month, you can still continue to earn your bonus miles when you make a purchase in subsequent months.

The Escape by Discover® Card does have an annual fee of $60, but this fee will easily pay for itself if you use the bonus miles towards travel credits or gift cards, considering you’ll earn well over $200 worth of travel credits or $200 worth of gift cards with your 25,000 bonus miles, and even if you redeem your 25,000 bonus miles for $125 in cash rewards, you’ll still cover the annual fee for the first 2 years with the bonus miles earned on this credit card alone, plus you’ll earn additional miles at the standard 2 miles per $1 rate for all of your purchases.
