We recently received an email from a customer who applied for a new bank account in order to receive a cash bonus and was denied by the bank, because their ChexSystems report showed that they had opened multiple new accounts recently.

The interesting thing is that the customer service representative for the bank specifically stated that the customer was denied due to the multiple accounts being opened, because the bank is trying to avoid "professional" bank bonus applicants.

I don't want to name the specific bank, but they were offering a cash bonus to open a new account, yet they denied a new customer, because that customer had taken advantage of too many cash banking bonuses recently, according to their analysis of the customer's ChexSystems report.

This seems sort of ironic, but it's interesting to know that some banks are specifically trying to avoid bank bonus seekers, while other banks will gladly take your business, even if you are a "professional" banking customer just trying to get some extra cash.

If anybody else has had this experience, please leave a comment letting us know about your experience.
