Plink Free Rewards Program $5 Gift Card Bonus to Register Credit or Debit Card

The Plink rewards program is offering a $5 Gift Card bonus to, Walmart, or Kohl’s when you register your credit or debit card.

Updated 9/11/2014: Plink has closed down at this time. Please read below for details on why they closed.

“As a start-up, we are reliant on continued funding and over the last year we have been unable to secure any additional funding. Unfortunately, without that funding, Plink can no longer continue to operate. As a team, we did everything we could to keep Plink alive, but we have now run out of time and options.

We owe a huge debt of gratitude to our loyal members who have supported us for the last three years. As a team, we want to thank all of our members, for their loyalty and continuing to stick with us to the end. We couldn’t have made it this far without such an amazing loyal, committed group of members.

We also want to thank all of our advertisers and partners who supported us over the last three years. It was their belief in us and willingness to support a small start-up that allowed Plink to grow. We are proud to have partnered with some of the largest restaurant and retail brands in the United States.

Moving forward, all Plink accounts will be closed. No further points can be redeemed. Thanks to all from the Plink Team.”

    Hello Candy,

That’s very strange, you can email the Plink customer service at to report the issue.

Did you see the $5 offer on the website before you signed up? If so, it should have worked.

I’m not even sure what the 200 bonus points would be received for otherwise.

Sorry that you’re having issues, but I would just email them about it to see if they resolve it quickly.

    Hope that helps. Max

I’ve added an image of what you should see on the promotional page to the above article.

It’s important to note that you will not see the $5 gift card offer displayed if you already have a account or after you sign up for your account, due to cookies.

If you don’t see the $5 gift card offer displayed on their homepage, you should clear your cookies from your browser, and then visit the promo page again.

I was able to clear my cookies after creating an account in order to view the promotion and create the image in the above article, so you should be able to access the offer.

Hope this helps and good luck to everyone.

    Hello Jamine,

I’ve updated the promotional links in the above article, and the $5 gift card promotion is still available as of Wednesday morning on January 16th.

Last night, I did notice that Plink had pulled their Google search advertising for the $5 offer, or at least the ad spending limit had been reached for the day, so the $5 ads were no longer showing in Google search results.

Plus, the $5 promo page had stopped working for referral links and when you visited the Plink homepage directly.

However, this morning, their Google ad is showing once again when you search for “Plink.”

It appears as though you can no longer access the $5 promo page via referral links or directly on their home page, but you can still access the promo via their Google search ad.

So I’ve replaced all of the promo links in the above article with the link from their Google search ad, so it should show the $5 bonus page when you click through the links in the above article now.

If not, you can clear your cookies and try again, or search for Plink on google, and you should see the ad results, if they haven’t used all of their advertising money for that day.

I’ve also posted an image of what their Google advertising spot looks like in the above article, just for reference purposes.

Hope this helps and good luck.

I managed to sign up and I added my bank account with a debit card to my Plink account. 15 minutes of waiting and logging out and logging in again but still no bonus points :(((

  5. says

    Hello J,

Just wanted to remind you to make sure that you confirm your email address by clicking on the link in the email they send you.

I didn’t receive my points until after I had confirmed my email address, although that may have just been a coincidence.

It may take a little longer to get the bonus points than 15 minutes, especially if they’re getting a lot of traffic right now. I’d give it at least an hour until I started worrying that it didn’t work.

Hope it works out for you, please let us know. Thanks, Max

Just to follow up, I’ve updated the above article with new instructions on how to find the promo links in your Google search results advertising.

Just click on the Google search results links I’ve posted, and you should see the promotion being advertised.

    See above for additional instructions.

    Thanks, max

  7. margel says

You don’t just put in your credit card number, you actually have to give them your bank login information and password. No way am I doing this for $5.

  8. says

    Hello margel,

That’s true, I was a bit hesitant about entering my login info, although I have done that before, but only with other financial institutions and TurboTax, but still, it’s not something you want to give to every company out there.

If you just want to get the $5 gift card bonus, you could always update and change your card account password, after you have completed the promotion and redeemed your reward.

It would be a bit of a hassle, but then you could at least know your account was safe.

It may not be worth it to everyone though just for a $5 Amazon gift card.

    Thank you for commenting.

  9. James says

    Hey Max,

When I click on the link to sign-up there is no mention of the sign up bonus points. Do you know if this offer is dead? If I sign up for an account will I get the bonus points or not? That’s my main concern, since there’s nothing on the other side of the link mentioning the bonus points.

    Look forward to your reply.

      Hello James,

Thank you very much for your comment.

It looks like the promotional page for the $5 Plink sign-up bonus is being redirected and is currently unavailable.

I believe the $5 bonus is dead at this time, but I will search for another link and update the above article when/if I find one.

I really appreciate you alerting me to this issue.

      Thanks again, Max
