  1. I just signed up for a new Betterment account to take advantage of the $25 sign-up bonus and invest some money, and I thought I’d share my experiences.

The account opening process is very quick and easy. It just requires some basic information including your Social Security Number and address as well as some standard financial details like your income range.

You can link your checking account to your Betterment.com account during the application process using your routing number and bank account number, and then they send you 2 small deposits to verify within a few days.

Other than that, you just have to verify your email address, and then you can immediately log in to your new account at Betterment.com.

Once you open your new account and log in, you can immediately see the $25 pending account bonus listed under the Activity tab in your account.

You then just have to complete your initial deposit of $250 or more for the $25 bonus to be deposited into your account.

Overall, the Betterment online account interface seems simple and intuitive.

They have an Advice tab, where you can compare the potential results of different investment strategies, and it’s easy to adjust your allocations or review your investment returns.

Everything seems great with my new Betterment account so far, and I now just have to wait to confirm my verification deposits in my checking account, so that my initial deposit clears and I can start investing, plus get my $25 new account bonus.

If anybody else would like to share their Betterment.com experiences, please feel free to leave a comment.
