Thank you very much for your service to our country.
Lowes and Hone Depot give 10% discount to military veterans every day. Hone depot now needs your dd214 registered into their computer. Only need to do it once.
Home Depot requires a special type of veteran ID which even the veterans administration says doesn’t exist. My husband was refused any discount because “your ID doesn’t have the right font on it.” We went to the manager and was told the same thing. I think they offer the discount but do everything in their power not to give it possibly to make themselves look good without losing money.
DD-214. Register once at any Home Depot. Once it is in the computer, all you got to do is give phone number that it was registered under. If you come across an idiot manager, call Corp or register at a different location.
WRONG! That works at Lowe’s but not Home Depot. Home Depot Hayes Veterans!
Just called Golden Corral to verify and sure enough they don’t do it. What a shame.
Being a Vet I can say this facetiously yet with respect.
There is a marked difference between Veterans day ( a celebration of all living Veterans) and Memorial Day ( a most respectful day of remembrance of those that sacrificed their lives in the fight for freedom)
Here comes the facetious part: Dead guys don’t eat. Easy-Peasey way to remember next year.
However, you can always pay for a Vet’s meal any day of the year! There are thousands of homeless and hungry Vets that would appreciate it.
Golden Corral DOES NOT have a Memorial Day special for veterans.
However, they DO kindly provide a free meal for veterans for Veterans Day.
Loew’s Memorial Day veteran discount runs for more than just one. Check the sign on the door at your nearest Loew’s.
