All George Webb restaurants across the state of Wisconsin will offer free burgers to everyone on Thursday, October 18, 2018, in celebration of the Milwaukee Brewers 12-game win streak.
Just visit your local George Webb on Thursday, October 18th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM to get a free hamburger with no purchase necessary.
There is a limit of 1 burger per person, you don’t have to buy anything else to get your free burger, and they are available for dine-in or carry-out.
The restaurant founder George Webb himself predicted back in the 1940s that the team would win 12 straight games, and if they did, he would give away free hamburgers.
They didn’t win 12 straight that year, but on April 19, 1987, the Milwaukee Brewers finally did win 12 games straight, and George Webb gave away over 150,000 hamburgers to celebrate with customers in Wisconsin.
The promotion has never gone away, and although it took over 30 years since the last time the Milwaukee Brewers won 12 straight games, they finally did it again by beating the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series on Friday, October 12, 2018.
That means free burgers are coming again to Wisconsin, and all you have to do is visit your local George Webb restaurant to get in on the goods.
If you live near a George Webb in Wisconsin, head on over to get your free burger from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, October 18, 2018.
