Brink’s Prepaid MasterCard 5% APY Savings Account

With no minimum balance or deposit requirements, the optional Savings Account features a 5% APY for balances of up to $5,000.

It is available to cardholders who are eligible for a Brink’s Prepaid MasterCard Preferred upgrade.

The Savings Account is made available through BofI Federal Bank; Member FDIC.

For an average daily balance up to but not exceeding $5,000, the interest rate for the Savings Account is 4.91% with an annual percentage yield of 5%.

For that portion of the average daily balance of the Savings Account that is $5,000.01 or more, the interest rate is 0.49% with an annual percentage yield of 0.50%.

No minimum balance is necessary to open the Savings Account or obtain the yields.

It’s important to note that because Savings Account funds are withdrawn through the card account (maximum 6 such transfers per calendar month), card account transaction fees could reduce the interest earned on the Savings Account.
