Plum Card from American Express Business Cash Rebate Credit Card

The Plum Card from American Express OPEN offers trade terms that allow business credit card members to get a 1.5% discount on all of your credit card purchases or defer your credit card payments for up to 2 months interest free.

The Plum Card(R) from American Express OPEN has no preset spending limit, so you can spend as much on your business credit card as you can afford, and you can set your own billing schedule to fit your monthly financial fluctuations.

Early Pay Discount 1.5% Cash Back

You can earn a 1.5% rebate on all of your credit card purchases with the Plum Card from American Express.

Simply pay your balance in full within 10 days of your statement closing date, and you’ll get a 1.5% rebate on your purchases, plus the amount of rebates you can earn is unlimited.

For example, if your business currently spends $10,000 on a monthly basis, and you regularly pay your bill in full, then your monthly savings could be $150, which is equal to $1,800 in rebates each year.

Defer Payment Option Credit Card

The Plum Card allows you to take up to 2 months from the statement closing date to pay your new balances in full with no interest or finance charges.

Just make an initial payment of at least 10% by the Please Pay By Date on your billing statement, and you can extend your remaining payment without interest charges until the next month’s Please Pay By Date.

For example, if the new balance on your statement is $10,000, you can pay $1,000 by the Please Pay By Date, and defer the remaining payment interest free until the following month’s Please Pay By Date.

Of course, if you defer your payments, then you won’t receive the cash rebates on your purchases for paying in full, but it’s nice to have that interest-free option to finance large purchases on a monthly basis.

The American Express Plum Card does have an annual fee of $185, but that annual fee is waived for the first year for new applicants. There is no fee for your first additional Plum Card, but there is a $45 annual fee for every other Plum Card that is added to your account.

The American Express Plum Card also gives business card members access to OPEN Savings, the business discount program from American Express that offers promotional savings at various business merchants and services.
