I agree with Nate, this seems like a major bait and switch. For a new company in acquisition mode you should be clear and concise with your advertising. I for one was planning on using it here in the bay area, but think I will be just deleting the app instead and sticking with paypal and their offers.

So I used this at humperdinks in Dallas TX. The offer states “to see other participating restaurants download the app. There is nowhere in particular to find a special list of participating restaurants which leads me to believe if it participated with tabbedout then it would qualify for the 20$ bonus. However when I went to check out it only offered 10 off. Sent them an email we will see if they give me the 20 off. Feel the offer is a bait and switch if it was only supposed to be 10$ off. I will update with the results of the email and if I have to contact CFPB.

The terms and conditions of the online offer do not state only for LA. Luckily I took screenshots of the flyer to provide to the CFPB. The right thing to do would have been to honor the offer since you did not specify the zip code requirement in the flyer.
