i know it says qualifying direct deposit which is a paycheck, ss, etc. Could you make an ACH payment from one of your other bank accounts and in the comment section write ” direct deposit ” or open a business account and have deposits come from that account ? Do you think BBV might accept that ?
Any updates on this? Have you tried? 🤔
No. it will be check mailed to them or money transfer, both of them do not qualify for direct deposit. but if you have any investment account like in SCHWAB you can have direct deposit from them and it should qualify.
Be careful, if you also add the savings account, as they will hit you with a $25 per quarter Service Charge if your Savings is below $500. Luckily, I called and disputed this and got mine overturned. FYI, it took them about 50 days to post my bonuses(200 checking +50 savings) after the expiration period, so overall the experience has been good thus far. However, now I’m curious to see what they do about me keeping the account open for 12 months and whether they force the $500 minimum in savings to avoid further quarterly Service Charges.
Thank you for posting about this offer! I was able to open the account very easily. Can’t wait to receive the $250 bonus.
