I have a Citi American Air American Express card BUT do not have, and have never had, a Citi or American Air MasterCard.
Am I eligible as a new Citi MasterCard applicant, or am I ineligible because of my Citi AmExp card?

      Hello Jeff,

The terms indicate: “This Citi / AAdvantage card offer is only valid for new applicants for a Citi / AAdvantage account made pursuant to this offer and is not available to existing cardmembers or recent applicants for a Citi / AAdvantage credit card.”

If I understand you correctly, then you currently have the Citi / AAdvantage American Express Card.

If that’s true, then you technically do have an existing Citi / AAdvantage account, so you may not qualify for this offer.

My understanding of the terms is that you cannot qualify for the offer with multiple Citi / AAdvantage accounts, regardless of whether they are MasterCard, Visa, or American Express cards.

However, I’m not absolutely sure about this and don’t have personal experience with your specific situation.

Hope this helps and please let us know how it goes if you decide to apply for a new account.

      Thanks, Max
