Landa unlocks real estate investing in rental properties for everyone by letting you buy and sell shares of rental real estate.
Updated 2/7/2020 – New Landa Referral Promotion: Landa has updated their referral program, so that both parties earn $10 instead of $5. Also, they have new unlimited-use referral codes, so you are no longer limited to referring only 5 people total. See below for the $10 sign-up bonus details.
Please note that Landa is currently only approving “accredited and non-accredited but sophisticated investors on the platform” at this time. In about 3 months from now (8/29/2019), they will open the platform to the general public. I do not have any specifics as to what qualifies as a “sophisticated” investor, but you can find out your status by simply completing the on-boarding and sign-up process after you’ve installed and opened the Landa app.
About Landa Rental Real Estate Shares
Once you download the free Landa App (iOS or Android), you can start investing with as little as $5 in just a few minutes.
Landa creates a “stock trading” experience for buying and selling rental real estate by dividing each property into 10K shares.
When you invest in rental properties with Landa, you’ll receive monthly rental income for each share that you own.
The great thing is that you can place your shares back for sale at any time, so there are no long-term commitments.
Plus, the Landa “Give $10, Get $10” Referral Promotion earns both members a $10 free credit when a new member joins with a unique referral code and makes an investment starting at only $5.
If you are interested in rental real estate, check out the Landa App to start investing in just a few minutes.

Thank you for the update, B. Appreciate your help. We’ve updated the above article accordingly.
Glad to help.
I just tried to sign up and they said I had to be an accredited investor (have $200,000 solo income or $300,000 joint with spouse)
Same here, any way around this.. for us folks that are notb the yet…
Hello Chella,
I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. I signed up without having to be accredited, and a bunch of readers were signing up and sharing codes previously, so I’m not sure if this was a new update with the app or what might be happening. I’ve contacted Landa to find out for sure and will respond as soon as I hear back from them
Thank you for letting me know.
Hello Again Chella,
I’ve contacted Landa customer service and this was their reply:
“At the moment, we can only approve accredited and non-accredited but sophisticated investors on the platform. If you are one, please try us. If not, it may take up to 3 months before we’ll be able to open the platform to the public.”
So I guess you do not have to be accredited, but they are being more selective at this time.
They may have some questions during the on-boarding process (I can’t remember), where they ask you about your investment experience, but I’m otherwise not sure how they assess whether you are “sophisticated” or not.
It seems like they are just trying to control the amount of newcomers to the platform in the beginning, and they want to make sure that the people who join are serious about investing in the platform.
I really appreciate you bringing this to my attention. Thanks again.
Hi, thanks for reaching out to them for that info. When i signed up (and I just tried again so i can be specific in the details) they asked if I was accredited and I said no/I don’t know. Then they asked about an income of $200K or $300K combined with spouse in the last two years or if I had a net worth of over a $1M. I said no and they said I didn’t qualify. So those seem to be the only people they are accepting at the moment.
