Plynk App $20 Sign-Up Bonus
1. Visit PlynkInvest.com or download the app directly to get started. The $20 bonus is openly available to all new accounts, and no special promotional link is needed at this time.
2. After you download the Plynk app, create a new account (takes about 5 minutes with no waiting period for approval).
3. Link an eligible bank account with the Plynk app (no deposit is required to qualify for the $20 bonus).
4. Plynk will deposit $20 USD into your Plynk account within 30 days of meeting the conditions.
5. You may not withdraw the $20 bonus from your Plynk account for 30 days, unless you EITHER: deposit cash or securities to Plynk from an external account; OR you transact or authorize a transaction in your Plynk account in any investments (common stock, mutual fund, or exchange-traded fund) other than the default “sweep” into a Core Fund position.
About Plynk Investing App
By answering a few questions, Plynk’s self-guided tool helps you discover investment ideas based on your interests, or you can view investments by categories like AI, FinTech, ETFs, mutual funds, and many more.
With simple language, investment tips, and how-to guides, the Plynk investing app is straightforward and easy for beginners to understand.
To start investing with as little as $1, you simply link your bank account with Plynk, or you can even redeem your unused gift cards for cash to invest.
You can invest any amount you want in a selection of stocks, ETFs and mutual funds, set up monthly automatic investments, or buy up to 10 investments at once with the “Add to Cart” feature.
When it’s time to withdraw your funds, you can send them to your bank account, PayPal, Venmo, or even another Plynk user.
Plynk is free for the first 3 months, after which a $2 monthly subscription fee applies, which will be withdrawn directly from your linked bank account.
However, if you decide it’s not for you, it’s easy to close your Plynk account at any time from directly within the Plynk app.
There are no commission fees for trades with Plynk, but since they do charge a $2 monthly subscription fee, you may also want to consider a Stockpile brokerage account for beginners, since they have no fees whatsoever.
For easy access to investing for beginners, try the Plynk app with a $20 sign-up bonus and free 3-month trial period.
Personal Experiences with Plynk
I decided to open a Plynk account to take advantage of the $20 bonus and 3-month free trial period to review their services.
The Plynk account-opening process was pretty simple, as I only had to provide my name, address, and social security number, and then confirm a security code that was sent to my mobile number to complete the process.
After providing this information, my Plynk account was immediately approved and opened for use, so there is no waiting period for approval, and you don’t have to submit pictures of your ID card or selfies or anything like that.
To qualify for the $20 bonus, I connected my Chase Bank account, and instead of using Plaid for linking your bank account, they require that you enter your bank routing number and account number, so this may be better for people who would rather not provide their login credentials.
By linking my bank account, I should qualify for Plynk’s $20 sign-up bonus, but I went ahead and deposited a small amount of funds to my Plynk account anyways, which should then allow me to bypass the 30-day holding period on my $20 bonus funds when I receive them.
I do intend to perform some investments with Plynk’s platform to see how I like it, but if I decide it’s not for me, I’ll have the option to sell all of my investments and withdraw all of my funds including the $20 bonus without having to wait for the 30-day holding period.
With Chase Bank and a number of Plynk’s other partner banks, any funds that you deposit are immediately available for investing, so if you link one of these banks, you don’t have to wait for your funds to go through in order to invest them.
As far as Plynk’s brokerage platform, it appears to have a simple-to-use layout, and I can easily access all of the information I need to make investments.
It’s definitely catered to beginning investors with the self-guided tool as well as stocks being divided into categories that are easy to understand and quickly locate.
The 3-month free trial gives new users plenty of time to tryout Plynk, and if I decide that I want to continue using Plynk, the $2 monthly fee doesn’t seem like too much of a burden, although there are other free brokerage platforms available like Webull or Robinhood that are probably better for investors once you get past the beginner stage.
Overall, the Plynk brokerage platform does seem to be a great starting point for beginning investors, as it’s extremely simple to get started and learn along the way if you want to try investing in stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds.
Plus, with Plynk’s $20 sign-up bonus and 3-month free trial, I figured it’s worth a try, even if I decide to close my account before the monthly subscription fee kicks in.
Please note that Plynk’s $100 referral bonus reward expired as of July 21, 2021, but they may offer a new Plynk Referral Program for users in the near future.
