Ring Free Neighborhood Watch Program – $10 Referral Credits for Any Ring Product – EXPIRED

March 6, 2018 | 24 Comments

Updated 2/28/2019 – Ring Referral Program Expired for the Season: Effective February 28, 2019, the Ring Referral Program will be ending for the season. Not to worry, the existing and eligible Ring Referral Credits you’ve earned will remain active until they are redeemed or expire.

Ring Neighborhoods is a free home security program that instantly alerts you about crime and safety issues in your neighborhood, and anyone can join for free with no Ring device required.

Plus, when you download the free Ring App to access your local neighborhood watch through this Ring Neighborhoods $10 Referral Credit Link, you’ll get $10 in Ring Credit that you can use toward the purchase of any Ring security device in the future (you must click the referral link while on your mobile device to qualify for the $10 free credit).

About Ring Neighborhoods

Ring Neighborhoods is openly available to anyone who wants to join for free, regardless of whether or not you have a Ring device.

Ring Neighborhoods allows neighbors to instantly alert one another about crime and safety issues within your neighborhood in real time.

Ring Neighborhoods was originally started as a way for owners of Ring security cameras to instantly share Ring videos with other neighbors, but it proved to be extremely popular and effective, so Ring decided to open it up to everyone.

Once you download the free Ring app, you’ll instantly receive access to your local Ring neighborhood watch, where you’ll see a timeline of events that have been shared by your neighbors.

It’s a great way to keep track of crime and safety issues that are happening around your neighborhood, and neighbors can comment on each other’s events to try to help resolve any issues.

You can also share any events that happen at your home with your neighbors to see if anybody recognizes a person in your videos (if you have a Ring security camera) or has experienced a similar incident.

Ring Neighborhoods is currently available throughout the United States.

Get $10 Credit toward Ring Devices

You can get a free $10 credit toward any Ring security camera, doorbell, or device on Ring.com when you follow these instructions:

1. Visit this Ring Neighborhoods $10 Referral Credit Link on your mobile device to download the free Ring app (you must be on your mobile device when you click this referral link and then download the app directly).

2. Create a free Ring.com account in the app with a verified email address that is not yet registered with a Ring.com account.

3. You will receive a $10 credit good for any product on Ring.com, valid for 365 days after joining.

Updated 5/26/2018: Please note that I have updated this article to now indicate that you must be on your mobile device when you click on the referral link and download the Ring App in order to qualify for the $10 free credit. The terms of this offer do not indicate this directly, but after receiving comments about people having issues with the Ring referral program not working, I came to the conclusion that this could possibly be the issue. So to be safe, as a new user, you should visit this article from your mobile device, click on the referral link, and then download the Ring App directly from the App Store or Google Play.

Ring Refer A Friend Program $10 Credits

Once you download the Ring app, you can invite your friends and neighbors to download the free Ring app and join the neighborhood watch, even if they don’t have a Ring camera, and when they join, you’ll each receive $10 in credit toward Ring cameras and other Ring devices.

To invite your neighbors, just visit the “Invite” section under the Menu in the app, where you can share your Ring referral link however you please.

Once the person that you refer downloads the Ring app, creates a Ring.com account, and is verified, Ring will provide you both with a $10 credit.

Ring referral credits are good toward the purchase of any camera, doorbell, or accessory on Ring.com, but they cannot be used for the purchase of a Ring Protect plan.

You can refer as many people as you like to Ring and earn an unlimited amount of Ring referral credits.

Your Ring referral credits are good for 365 days after the date that they are issued, and they can only be used by the account they are issued to.

Anybody who is 18 years old and a resident of the U.S.A. can participate in the Ring referral program, excluding Ring team members and employees of any associated organizations or companies.

Please feel free to share your Ring Neighborhoods experiences along with your Ring referral links in the comments below this article.

If you’re worried about your home security, sign up for a free Ring.com account and download the Ring app to receive real-time updates on crime and security issues in your neighborhood.

I utilized the ring referral program and I ended up with six ring doorbell‘s and to spotlight cams. I sold all the doorbells and made $900. For the two spotlight cams I paid about $120 for them because the Ring referral program ended before I could get enough sign-ups to get them for free. That $900 helps me pay the rent. 👍🏼

I see the referral credits and but it will not apply during checkout. I’ve tried different browsers, desktop vs mobile, and even tried purchasing through the app. I called customer service and spent literally an hour and fifteen minutes with the rep and she even tagged billing but to now avail. She’s elevating it and the only thing I can think of is that I had changed user id via their rep. But all credits were referred and accumulated after the login id change so I’m not sure why it won’t work. Can see the credits but just can’t apply. Weird.

      Hello Jessie,

Sorry that you are having issues with getting your Ring referral credit.

If you signed up through a referral link to download the Neighbors App, you should get the $10 credit automatically applied upon creating your free account.

I would say to make sure that you completed registration for the Neighbors Feed by providing your full address for the location and any other information that they may request.

I would then log out of the app and log back in again to see if the $10 credit has been applied.

If you signed up correctly and completed registration, so that all of the local incidents that have been submitted are appearing in your Neighbors Feed, then it should work for you to get the credit.

Hope this helps and best of luck to you.

      Hello Yana,

The $10 credit should appear within the app immediately after sign-up if you register through a referral link.

Hope this helps and best of luck.

      Hello Eric,

In order to redeem the referral credits, you must create an account on the Ring website using the same email address and log-in credentials that you used in the app, and you’ll then be able to spend the credits during checkout.

The referral credits will automatically be applied to your order in the form of a Gift Card for either the amount of your referral credits or the amount of your order, whichever is less.

If the amount of your order is less than your total referral credits, any leftover referral credits will remain on your account to be used toward your next order.

      Best of luck.

I’m having the same issue. It shows full price in my cart. There is a spot for a discount code, but nowhere I look can I find it.

      Hello Maria,

The Ring referral program definitely works, as I’ve gotten the credits myself as have a number of readers, although I know that some people have been experiencing issues as well.

Please share your own experience and the steps that you followed if you would like to, and I will be happy to help you if possible.

      Thank you very much.

PS: I have updated the article to now reflect that new users (referees) should click on the Ring referral links while on a mobile device, then download the Ring App directly from either the App Store or Google Play (whichever you are automatically redirected to), and then create your free account in order to qualify for the $10 credit. I’m not sure if this is related to your issue or not, but it may be causing some of the issues for some people. If somebody clicks on the referral link, goes to the Ring website first, and then clicks the download links to get to either the App Store or Google Play, that may be messing with the tracking for the $10 referral credits. This is all just a guess of mine, but I wanted to bring up the possibility to help avoid any further issues.
