Staples recycling rewards are available when you return any brand ink or toner cartridge including HP, Brother, Canon, Dell, Epson, Kodak, Lexmark, or any other brand.
You may recycle up to 10 cartridges per month at Staples to get a $2 cash reward per cartridge for a total of $20 in Staples Rewards each month.
The Staples Ink Cartridge Recycling Program is an excellent way to get cash back for your used printer ink and toner cartridges.
You must present your Staples Rewards member card at any register when recycling your used ink or toner cartridges at Staples.
If you are not currently a Staples Rewards program member, you must Join the Free Staples Rewards Program to receive the ink recycling rewards from Staples.
Once you’re a Staples Rewards member, you’ll also earn 10% cash back in rewards when you buy any ink or toner from Staples.

This is a 3 step process that took me time and talking to the staff until I understood. It’s clear now on their website. 1. Buy at least $30 worth of ink. 2. Take in your cartridges. 3. Buy more ink and use the rewards from what you’ve earned (3 cartridges equals $6). You do not receive a check. You get a discount on ink. I’ve used it several times. Of course, I found this site because for some reason today, I can’t figure out how to get my reward, but I will. May not have been enough time yet.

Dropped off 10 used ink cartridges about 2 months ago and the store manager has no idea what they are doing. No records of anything. He said “maybe they disappear after a month of not using them”. So he said it takes a month to get rewards and u only have a month to use them. What is this a game? Ridiculous. I stopped shopping at staples because of this. Everyone was lost

Have turned in 10 used cartridges twice. Didn’t get reimbursed either time. From the other comments this appears to be a trend. It’s good they are recycling, but customers will stop if they continue to fail to reimburse people.
