Who Can Earn Points on Rent Using Bilt Rewards?

As long as your landlord accepts checks or uses an online payment portal, you can earn points for using the Bilt Mastercard Credit Card to pay your rent payments, regardless of where you live.

For every rent payment that you make using the Bilt Mastercard credit card, you’ll earn 1 point per $1 spent on your rent payments for up to 100,000 points each calendar year.

In addition, there are no transaction fees on your rent payments when you pay your rent with the Bilt Mastercard through the Bilt Rewards platform.

If you don’t want to apply for the Bilt Mastercard, you can still earn 250 Bilt Points per monthly on-time rent payment (regardless of the cost of your rent) for up to 3,000 points per year when your property is part of The Bilt Rewards Alliance, which comprises over 2 million rental properties across the U.S.A., and it’s completely free to do so.

If you are renting from a Bilt Alliance Property, you should have received a personalized invite from your property management, but you can always ask your property manager, on-site teams, or even email support@biltrewards.com to see if you live in a Bilt Alliance Property.

Even if you rent outside of the Bilt Rewards Alliance, you can still earn 1X points on rent by using the Bilt Mastercard credit card with no transaction fees, as long as your landlord uses an online payment portal or accepts checks.

If your property only accepts checks, you simply pay with your Bilt Mastercard through the Bilt Rewards platform, and they will send a check to your landlord on your behalf, allowing you to earn points.

It’s important to note that you must use your Bilt Mastercard at least 5 times each statement period in order to earn Bilt Points on any of your credit card purchases, so you can’t just use your Bilt Mastercard on your rent payments once a month, or you won’t qualify to earn points.

Earning Points with Bilt Mastercard

On top of earning 1X points on rent payments for up to 100,000 points each calendar year, you’ll also earn 3X points on dining and 2X points on travel along with 1X points on all other purchases.

When you book travel directly with airlines, hotels, and car rental agencies, you’ll earn 2X points on flights, hotels, rental cars, and cruises.

Every time you dine at your favorite restaurant, bar, or order in, you’ll earn 3X points on your dining purchases with the Bilt Mastercard.

You’ll even get double points every Rent Day (1st of the month) with 6X points on dining, 4X points on travel, and 2X points on other purchases (excludes rent payments).

Plus, you’ll earn 5X Bilt Points when eating at Bilt Dining Restaurants in select cities, and you’ll earn up to 5X points on Lyft Rides for Bilt Members.

However, in order to earn points on any of your credit card purchases, you must use your Bilt Mastercard at least 5 times each statement period.

Bilt Points can be redeemed through their travel partners, towards your rent or down payments on a home purchase, with fitness partners, and through the Bilt Collection for access to art, decor, and apparel.
