Drop App Refer A Friend Program

Once you create a Drop account, you can participate in the Drop referral program to earn extra points for referring your friends to both the Drop App and to special offers that are available from select merchants.

When a friend signs up for Drop with your invite code and links their card, you will get 5,000 bonus points, and your referral will get 5,000 bonus points as well.

Right now, Drop only rewards you bonus points for your first 10 successful referrals, which is equal to $50 in referral bonuses for sharing Drop, but even after you reach your maximum of 10 referrals, you can still invite friends with your code and give them 5,000 bonus points.

The bonus points earned for referring friends to special offers will vary, but for example, there is a 1-time offer to earn 2,000 points when you spend at least $20 at Amazon.com, and if you share this offer with your friends, you’ll get 500 points when your friends spend on this offer.

    I signed up about a week and a half ago, and so far, every offer has credited. For example, I shopped at Walgreens yesterday and the points showed up right after as pending and posted just now. It’s like free money because, once you link your card, it takes zero effort on your part. You’ll be earning the normal rewards that you get from credit card as usual in addition to Drop points. Definitely a no-brainer in my opinion.

    Hello Doug,

    I know Drop has been having some issues lately related to not honoring points earned by users who practice manufactured spending, but what indications have you seen that Drop is likely to close down?

    As far as I know, they have been flagging accounts for manufactured spending, like repeated gift card purchases at merchants, and there is a delay in gift card redemptions through Drop due to them manually checking and distributing gift cards, but I haven’t seen any information indicating they will be closing down altogether.

      I’m not sure if the invitation only condition applies to the U.S only, because in Canada I simply downloaded and installed the app on my own without an invite. In addition to all the info you and others have mentioned, you can also obtain bonus points through a ‘snake’ game built into the app which is pretty cool if you have some spare time. Also, if you could add my Drop code to the list it’s 2sxoc , I would really appreciate it!

      Carrot Rewards is also a really good app where you can either earn Drop points, Scene points etc. for just being healthy, for example taking 2500 steps each day gives you 50 Drop points or 4 Scene points.
