Transfercar provides consumers with free 1-way car or RV rentals to help rental car companies relocate their vehicles.
Transfercar saves rental car companies money by avoiding the cost of relocating their vehicles, plus it gives consumers a free 1-way car rental, so that you can drive a car or RV for free.
Anyone can drive a car or RV for Transfercar, just as long as you are over 18 years old and have a full driving license that is valid in the United States.
Transfercar is available in several different states in the U.S., and it is also available in Australia and New Zealand.
Transfercar works with various rental car companies including Budget, Hertz, Ace Rental Cars, El Monte RV., Jucy Rentals, Apollo, Escape Campervans, Advantage Rent A Car, and more.
To see all of their available rides, you can visit Transfercar and view their interactive map, which will tell you which states have rides available and where the cars or RVs need to go.
When you find a transfer that you would like to take, you can make a request to drive that car or RV, and the rental car company will normally respond within 24 hours to complete the rental process.
Most of the car rentals are absolutely free, while many of the RV rentals charge a nominal fee of $1 to $5 for the entire rental.
Many rentals also cover the price of insurance, fuel, and expenses.
There is a limit on how many days you must take for the trip, and they will charge you if you exceed the maximum number of days, but they give you enough time to make the trip within standard driving times.
You may also be required to make a security deposit for the vehicle, although it will be returned to you when you complete the trip.
If you are planning on making a 1-way trip somewhere, and a Transfercar just happens to be available along the route (or if you can also find a Transfercar for the return trip), then this is a great way to save money on the rental of a car or RV.
